Shriver Construction Company is primarily a General Contractor serving west central Iowa.  It is the company’s philosophy that a “team” approach is the key to a successful project.  As a General Contractor, Shriver Construction becomes a key member of the team by contracting with an owner to construct a “turn-key” project.  Most of these projects have been designed by an architect who provides the third member of the team.

In its role on the team, Shriver Construction handles all of the construction work on the project either utilizing its own forces or subcontractors.  Through the years, the company has assembled a small trusted group of subcontractors that it knows will provide the quality workmanship that owners have come to expect.  The company assigns each project to a project manager who handles all coordination between the construction forces and the design team and owner.  A superintendent is also assigned to each project to work with the project manager in coordinating the construction work as it progresses in the field.

By utilizing its “team” approach, regular progress meetings are scheduled so that each member of the team stays aware of the role they need to play in order for the project to be completed on time and within budget.  Schedules are prepared and reviewed frequently as the key element of keeping the entire team coordinated from start to finish of the project.
