Ken
Corbin, General Superintendent
Ken joined
the company in his present position as a General Superintendent
in July of 1988. As
a general superintendent, Ken is assigned to a project and is
responsible for the day to day operations of the project from
start to finish. He
supervises all Shriver personnel and coordinates the activities
of the subcontractors assigned to his project.
An accomplished finish carpenter, Ken also works on
various phases of the project as a full working superintendent.
Originally
from
Nevada
,
Iowa
, Ken graduated from Nevada High
in 1965. He
completed a 4 year apprenticeship program with the Ames Local
Carpentry Union making him a Journeyman Carpenter.
Prior to joining Shriver Construction Company, Ken gained
extensive experience as a carpenter, foreman, and superintendent
while working for various companies in
Iowa
and
Texas
.
It was while in
Texas
that he met and married his
wife, Jayanna. Upon
returning to
Iowa
, Ken and Jayanna settled in
their present home in
Jamaica
.
Ken has six
adult children, Holly, Brian, Rance, Jennifer, David, and Misty,
as well as six grandchildren, CJ, Autumn, McKenzie, Madison,
Amber, and Cody. Ken
and Jayanna enjoy weekend sightseeing trips, playing golf
together, and fishing on their Basstender.
They also truly enjoy woodworking together and use this
talent for making furniture and gifts for themselves and others.
